Kids Zone
Region 13 follows the AYSO Kids Zone — a national program that sets ten standards for behavior at every game and event:
- Kids come first
- Fun matters more than winning
- Players play, fans cheer, coaches coach
- Respect for the volunteer referees
- Positive language at all times
- No weapons, alcohol, tobacco, or drugs at AYSO events
- Leave no trash behind
- Celebrate the player — win or lose

Health and Safety Disclosures
California state law requires that parents and guardians receive information on:
- Sudden cardiac arrest
- Concussions
- Prescription opioids
These documents are provided during registration.
Privacy Policy
Information Collected
- Name, date of birth, address, contact information
- Medical conditions relevant to participation
- Emergency contact information
Information Not Stored
Credit and debit card information is not stored by AYSO.
Background Checks
Background check data for volunteers is encrypted and restricted to Risk Management personnel.
Photos and Videos
Photo and video permissions are requested during registration. Player identities are protected in public use of images.
Sponsor Access
Sponsors do not have access to membership data.
Disclaimer and Assumption of Risk
Participants acknowledge that soccer involves physical activity with inherent risks including but not limited to:
- Bruises, scrapes, and abrasions
- Strained, sprained, or torn muscles
- Broken bones
- Concussion and head injury
- Heat-related illness
- Other serious injuries
Participants and guardians release AYSO, facilities, sponsors, and volunteers from liability claims.
Refund Policy
- AYSO National player fees are non-refundable
- Regional fees may be refundable until the first scheduled event, per regional specifications
